 Emily was in an accident while doing golf cart sled riding and fractured bones all over her body. She’s now in a shoulder spica, long leg walking cast and a cylinder arm cast. She’s home alone and there’s nothing on TV, so she calls her friend Carlos from the neighborhood to see if he can come and give her some company. Next, Carlos comes over and Emily tears up while telling him her story and gets emotional about being bored at home with nothing to do and how much it sucks to be in these casts. Carlos offers to get her out of the house and do something. Emily is very grateful to Carlos for the offer. First thing’s first. He’s got to get her out to the car, but her body is still in a lot of pain. She can barely stand on her LLWC, so Carlos picks her up and carries her to the door. Carlos has to get the car situated for her, so he sets her down for a moment and Emily tries walking out with his assistance. He has to carry her down the stairs but then she wants to walk the rest of the way to the car. Finally, Carlos gets Emily comfortably in the car. Next, they arrive at the mall where Carlos gets Emily out of the car and into her wheelchair with her leg propped up. They enter through the food court and Emily wants some pizza to warm her up before doing anything else. After they get the pizza, Carlos pushes Emily to a table and feeds it to her since she can’t do it herself. But Emily does experiment with different ways of being able to drink by herself. Next, it’s off to expore the mall. |

You pickup (POV) Phaedra in your car, with her green SS and blue SAFS, to take her out shopping and she’s very glad to be out and about. She hasn’t really left the house in a month. She talks about her casts for a bit on the way to the mall. Phaedra’s just looking for some new stuff that will work with her current cast situation and she’s definitely getting a lot of looks. She doesn’t mind though… she actually kinda likes it. Phaedra’s her usual jovial self and makes a point to strike up conversations with people she encounters. [Sorry for the heavy breathing… it happens when I wear a camera three inches above my nose] One of the first things she looks for is some slip on shoes. After looking at a lot of shoes and talking to a lot of employees, it’s time to look for a new hoodie that will easily fit over her cast. She tries on some tops with limited success and then we stop by the arcade where my card doesn’t work so she just pretends to play a game. As time goes on, she seems to be having more fun with it. While the department stores are already all about Christmas, Phaedra needs a Halloween costume so we head to the Halloween store next where she considers what kind of costume would go well with her cast. She has some laughs looking at all the Halloween stuff and then we head back out to the car where she recaps what it was like talking to all the different people about her cast and she’s got some interesting observations and seems a little touched by how nice people were to her.
One of the great things about Maru out in public is that she doesn’t shy away from interactions with people. And I think she has fun making up stories about how she got her cast. I didn’t tell her what to say, she just ad-libs. So we put on the yellow SS and stopped by the bulk store where she is a member, but it seemed like basically the same old stuff and it was boring so we went to the mall. As soon as we got inside she headed to the shoe store where she had employees trying to help her find the right shoes and asking her questions about how she ended up in her cast. After a while of that, we walked out where she was accosted by a hallway sales woman who polished her nails. We stopped by a novelty store where she just walked around and looked at things. Next, we went around the arcade where Maru interacted with some games to see how well she could do with one arm. Finally, for the last big chunk of the video, we stopped by the burrito restaurant and Maru eats a very large burrito using only one hand for most of it. Finally towards the end, I got her a fork so she could scoop up the remaining filling.
12/11/15 – Those that enjoyed the pictures are really going to like this clip. It starts out with Bella eating some pizza. She was starving while I was making the cast and she couldn’t wait to eat, but her friend had to feed her. There’s some funnymoments as you’ll see. She picks up the house and sweeps the floor and tries to play video games with her friend holding the controller, but resorts to trying with her feet. There’s also a funny part where Bella keeps running into the guy with her cast and she didn’t know I was filming 🙂
11/21/15 – In this clip, Briana is in a “teapot” SS. You know, like “here is my handle, here is my spout”. She has some cleaning to do before company arrives, so she attempts to sweep the kitchen floor and do some dishes. Then she finds out that she’s being picked up so so attempts to put on shoes and a jacket. All these things, she attempts to do but is not very successful. Download now to check it out!
