The stairs are an even bigger ordeal, even with Roxy there helping the whole time. Maru doesn’t hold anything back as she says exactly what she’s thinking throughout the entire shoot and there’s lots of laughs as well. After a brief photo session at the foot of the stairs and a lot of struggle, they do eventually make it to the top and into a bed for a final bit of photos. There’s not much to do except look at her phone and even that proves to be a pain with her arm casts. She can’t really text, so she uses voice text to send a message to a friend about needing someone to come and help her. She has two hours until she can get her crutches back, so she decides that she can’t wait that long to pee and gets up and hops towards the restroom. She tries putting some weight on her cast but immediately regrets it, hopping the rest of the way after the pain subsides. After that she decides that she might as well try to get downstairs and get herself something to eat and drink so she painfully heads to the stairs, but not without hurting her leg… and hurting it again when she sits down to scoot down the stairs. She has a rough time making to the chair, banging her cast a few more times before she can sit down. She takes a break to sit back with her leg propped up and then realizes she needs to call into work and tell them that she will not be in for a while. Before long, the itching inside her cast starts to drive her crazy enough that she’s ready to get up and look for something to stick in her cast. She hops to the kitchen and finds a spatula to itch inside with. She keeps painfully hopping around the kitchen, constantly wincing until she’s got a drink and a snack. She loses her balance and ends up on the floor. Practically in tears, she drags herself over and up onto the couch. Finally, she gets her leg propped up and calls a friend to vent.

Maru’s about to head out into public on crutches with a 90° LLC and a LAFS and if anyone can get around like that, it’s her. We find her on the couch with a beautiful red pedicure and a very fancy paint job on her big toe. We stop and get her an ice cream treat from a fast food restaurant so she can cool off. Then, she puts a big, thick brown sock over her cast and heads into the bulk store. In there, she crutches around everywhere and tries on some more shoes and hops around in those. She crutches back out to the car and has to take a minute from just being worn out. We arrive back at her place where she crutches back up all the steps leading to the front door. She gets inside and immediately starts stripping off her shoes and socks and props her hot sweaty feet up for a final bit of toe wiggling after a long day of activity.

We’ve got more footage of Lily’s faux cast sighting of Audrey in her LLC. In the previous clip, we were with Lily at the store doing a public DLAC when she spotted a girl in a pink LLC. It turned out to be her old friend Audrey and she agreed to join our shoot. After spending about a half hour shopping, they decide to head back to Lily’s for some modeling. On the way we stop at a coffee shop where Audrey props her cast up high on the table and helps Lily drink. Lily tells Audrey to wiggle her toes and then she signs her cast. They’re ready to go but before we leave Lily explains that it would be good to see her itch inside her cast so she does that. She’s home alone and there’s nothing on TV, so she calls her friend Carlos from the neighborhood to see if he can come and give her some company. Next, Carlos comes over and Emily tears up while telling him her story and gets emotional about being bored at home with nothing to do and how much it sucks to be in these casts. Carlos offers to get her out of the house and do something. Emily is very grateful to Carlos for the offer. First thing’s first. He’s got to get her out to the car, but her body is still in a lot of pain. She can barely stand on her LLWC, so Carlos picks her up and carries her to the door. Carlos has to get the car situated for her, so he sets her down for a moment and Emily tries walking out with his assistance. Betty comes in to find Alisha making some cast content for her OF and waits for her to take a break before having a seat. Alisha is unwrapping her SLCs for Christmas and then licking whipped cream off her own toes. Although they’re still salty towards each other, they are playing nice and trying to get along because they live together. Betty has a seat on the couch and they start chatting about small talk and complimenting each other’s casts. They get the idea that they should sign each other’s casts to make them a bit more festive, which they do. Things start to get a little heated when they start writing some kind of rude things on each other’s casts and the truth about how they feel starts to come out. They start bickering over who’s fault the accident was and about who has the worst cast situation. Also, they start critcizing each other’s cast choices. After that Juli gets Blair dressed and then helps her to the living room. It’s a painful journey for Blair and Juli almost lets her fall to the floor. Juli ends up holding Blair’s leg up but gets tired and drops it to the floor when trying to sit it down. Blair is furious and Juli rushes off to get her a drink of water. Juli comes back and spills water on Blair’s toes and cast. That’s the last straw. Blair tells Juli to leave because it seems like she’s trying to hurt her on purpose. A month or so later and Blair’s LLC is signed up and visibly dirty. She’s thinking about how she was maybe a bit too hard on Juli and decides to give her a second chance. Nicole’s Antiquing LLC

Here’s a shoot from around Halloween that I meant to post the same day but I decided to post the Audrey/Lily clip first instead. Nicole is a female MMA fighter (based on reality) that recently broke her tibia and fibula while kicking her opponent in a fight. She’s hanging out at the park with her friend Joe Joe and talking about the Halloween party tonight. Nicole is going as Sara Conner from Terminator. She’s already got the jean jacket and other clothes that will work but she feels that some wooden crutches would really sell the early 80’s look so they decide to hit the local antique mall and see what they can find there. Joe Joe helps her get up into the big truck and get her long straight leg in, but Nicole has to sit sideways for it to work. At the antique mall, Joe Joe pushes her around in the chair and Nicole has her long, straight LLC propped up high on a leg rest. Nicole mostly sits but sometimes gets up on her crutches to look around. Joe Joe is very helpful as Nicole’s leg is very freshly broken and very sore so she’s careful to be gentle with propping it up and helping Nicole back into the chair, but sometimes Nicole does kind of plop down. Other than that, Nicole and JoJo just go down the aisles looking at things and talking to each other about it. She definitely got a lot of questions and unfortunately a few times were off-camera. They don’t have much luck finding the kind of crutches she’s looking for but they did find some very old antique crutches. Finally Joe Joe gets Nicole back into the truck and they just decide to let her leg stick out of the window on the way home.

Betty has broken both of her lower legs with fractured tibias, fibulas and shattered ankles. We find her on one of her first days in her wheelchair trying to get to the couch where she can get more comfortable. Obviously her legs cannot bear weight and they are too painful to move by themselves. She must move them with her arms. She wheels herself to the couch where she does the slow, painful process of traansferring herself to the couch. She carefully elevates her legs and calls a friend to catch her up on things. Later, she’s thirsty and needs to use the restroom, so she transfers herself back to the chair and makes her way to the kitchen and bathroom. After that, she gets herself set back up on the couch. Cut to a week later and she can move her legs a bit easier but she’s still in a lot of pain and of course there’s still no weight bearing. We find her in bed, pulling back the covers to reveal her casts. She carefully puts on some clothes and gets herself into the wheelchair. She wheels herself into the kitchen to do her morning routine. She puts her breakfast items in a basket she can sit in her lap and wheel to her kitchen table. Her toes are cold so she pulls some socks over them. Later, she rolls herself to the couch, takes off her outfit, props her legs up and gets ready for bed. The next day we find her sitting in a chair talking on the phone with a friend. Her doctor has approved some weight bearing on her legs but only a few steps at a time for now. She practices walking on crutches a bit before settling back onto the couch. There’s a knowck at the door and it’s a delivery person with a package. She gets herself into her wheelchair and to the door as quickly as possible and explains to the person what happened. When she opens the package, it’s the new shoes she ordered. She won’t be able to enjoy them for some time.

This is an idea I’ve had for a while now. What if I was on a shoot with a model when we found a woman in a real LLC and convinced her to join the shoot? That’s exactly what happens in this clip. Lily and I are at Target with her in two blue arm casts, just browsing around, when she spots someone about her age in a pink LLC. She asks me if she thinks we should talk to her and I say yes. Angel says she’s going to get close to her and see if she starts up the conversation. Lily gets close and starts splaying perfume, obviously trying to get her attention, but then the girl calls her by name. It turns out that it’s someone that Lily went to college with named Audrey. Audrey says that she fell down some stairs and Lily tells her right away that she’s doing a fetish shoot and points out the camera, which surprises Audrey. After checking with me, Lily asks her if she’d like to join our shoot and she agrees. Lily tells her that she just needs to crutch around and shop with her, so they head over to the shoe department. They’re having fun until Anastasia falls over onto Holly’s leg and breaks it. They both freak out for a few minutes before deciding that Anastasia will take Holly to the hospital herself, so they get her up on her good foot so she can painfully hop out to the car. Holly comes home on crutches with a white LLC, moaning and whining and in total distress. She heads to the couch where the gets her leg proped up, crying to herself about her ruined summer and how this is all Anastasia’s fault. She calls Anastasia to complain and make her feel bad about it and beg her to come and take care of her. Anastasia agrees to come over in a few hours after she gets off work. She’s mad that Anastasia is going to leave her alone for that long so she decides to head to the kitchen herself. She’s very clumsy and keeps stumbling and putting weight on her leg, which hurts. She continues causing herself more pain as she desperately and clumsily searches for a snack in the kitchen. She spills her entire makeup bag on the floor and she gets on the floor in tears to pick it up. She totally crashes out and crawls/scoots her way back into the living room in total distress. She falls asleep there and wakes up to Anastasia coming in. She cries to Anastasia about what she’s been through and Anastasia is very sympathetic. She leans down to help Holly up and spills her drink on Holly’s already dirty cast. Anastasia gets Holly onto the couch and asks her what she needs. Holly says that she could help get her more comfortable. Anastasia lifts Holly’s leg to swing it around and gets distracted and drops it onto the floor causing Holly to scream and cry. They decide that maybe it would be nice if Anastasia signed Holly’s cast so she does but Anastasia writes something that makes Holly very upset. Things only get worse from there until Holly eventually kicks Anastasia out.

She talks about her casts for a bit on the way to the mall. Phaedra’s just looking for some new stuff that will work with her current cast situation and she’s definitely getting a lot of looks. She doesn’t mind though… she actually kinda likes it. Phaedra’s her usual jovial self and makes a point to strike up conversations with people she encounters. [Sorry for the heavy breathing… it happens when I wear a camera three inches above my nose] One of the first things she looks for is some slip on shoes. After looking at a lot of shoes and talking to a lot of employees, it’s time to look for a new hoodie that will easily fit over her cast. She tries on some tops with limited success and then we stop by the arcade where my card doesn’t work so she just pretends to play a game. As time goes on, she seems to be having more fun with it. While the department stores are already all about Christmas, Phaedra needs a Halloween costume so we head to the Halloween store next where she considers what kind of costume would go well with her cast. She has some laughs looking at all the Halloween stuff and then we head back out to the car where she recaps what it was like talking to all the different people about her cast and she’s got some interesting observations and seems a little touched by how nice people were to her.

Next, it’s back to crutching around the store. Emily hands us stuff she wants to buy as she goes along. This is really her first time back to the grocery store since breaking her leg and at first she’s a little disappointed that nobody is asking her about her cast. A little while later, she notices some guys checking her out when I’m not looking and she tracks them down and gets them to sign her cast and talks to them a bit. This really boosts her spirits and one of the guys invites her to come eat at his restaurant. After that, she’s getting a little exhausted and she wants to leave and show me her favorite local bar. Before we leave she shows me around a bit more and crutches to the frozen section to cool off her cast and grab some ice cream. One of the guys she was talking to earlier finds her and asks if he can leave his phone number on her cast, which is just the kind of thing she was hoping would happen. She actually been kind of obsessed with the idea of getting guys to put their phone number on her cast since her first cast shoot. [Although the final bar scene is staged, the guys at the grocery store were totally real and candid.] On the way to the bar, Emily films her toes on the dashboard and talks about what happened at the grocery store. At Emily’s favorite bar, she tells the bartender about how she broke her leg and he helps get her seated and comfortable. At the bar, Emily has a blast and has exactly the kind of experience she was hoping for with more signatures and even a new phone number! She’s very thankful to Joe for taking her out.

This shoot happed just a few hours ago TODAY (the 15th) and I was able to rush home and get it ready for an update. Jessie’s a hot new model with great legs and feet that showed up in daisy dukes.
