After that she decides that she might as well try to get downstairs and get herself something to eat and drink so she painfully heads to the stairs, but not without hurting her leg… and hurting it again when she sits down to scoot down the stairs. She has a rough time making to the chair, banging her cast a few more times before she can sit down. She takes a break to sit back with her leg propped up and then realizes she needs to call into work and tell them that she will not be in for a while. Before long, the itching inside her cast starts to drive her crazy enough that she’s ready to get up and look for something to stick in her cast. She hops to the kitchen and finds a spatula to itch inside with. She keeps painfully hopping around the kitchen, constantly wincing until she’s got a drink and a snack. She loses her balance and ends up on the floor. Practically in tears, she drags herself over and up onto the couch. Finally, she gets her leg propped up and calls a friend to vent.

We find her on the couch with a beautiful red pedicure and a very fancy paint job on her big toe. We stop and get her an ice cream treat from a fast food restaurant so she can cool off. Then, she puts a big, thick brown sock over her cast and heads into the bulk store. In there, she crutches around everywhere and tries on some more shoes and hops around in those. She crutches back out to the car and has to take a minute from just being worn out. We arrive back at her place where she crutches back up all the steps leading to the front door. She gets inside and immediately starts stripping off her shoes and socks and props her hot sweaty feet up for a final bit of toe wiggling after a long day of activity.

Next, they arrive at the mall where Carlos gets Emily out of the car and into her wheelchair with her leg propped up. They enter through the food court and Emily wants some pizza to warm her up before doing anything else. After they get the pizza, Carlos pushes Emily to a table and feeds it to her since she can’t do it herself. But Emily does experiment with different ways of being able to drink by herself. Betty and Alisha were in a car accident together that was kind of both of their fault, but they each secretly blame each other and are still feeling a bit salty about it. Alisha ended up with two LLCs and Betty ended up with a 90° LLC with turned ankle. Betty comes in to find Alisha making some cast content for her OF and waits for her to take a break before having a seat. Alisha is unwrapping her SLCs for Christmas and then licking whipped cream off her own toes. Although they’re still salty towards each other, they are playing nice and trying to get along because they live together. Betty has a seat on the couch and they start chatting about small talk and complimenting each other’s casts. After Betty drops Alisha’s legs to the floor “on accident” a scuffle breaks out and they end up on the floor. Some time passes and they’re both feeling kind of stupid after clearing the air. Here’s a shoot from around Halloween that I meant to post the same day but I decided to post the Audrey/Lily clip first instead. Nicole is a female MMA fighter (based on reality) that recently broke her tibia and fibula while kicking her opponent in a fight. She’s hanging out at the park with her friend Joe Joe and talking about the Halloween party tonight. Nicole is going as Sara Conner from Terminator. She’s already got the jean jacket and other clothes that will work but she feels that some wooden crutches would really sell the early 80’s look so they decide to hit the local antique mall and see what they can find there. Joe Joe helps her get up into the big truck and get her long straight leg in, but Nicole has to sit sideways for it to work. At the antique mall, Joe Joe pushes her around in the chair and Nicole has her long, straight LLC propped up high on a leg rest. Nicole mostly sits but sometimes gets up on her crutches to look around. Joe Joe is very helpful as Nicole’s leg is very freshly broken and very sore so she’s careful to be gentle with propping it up and helping Nicole back into the chair, but sometimes Nicole does kind of plop down. Other than that, Nicole and JoJo just go down the aisles looking at things and talking to each other about it. She definitely got a lot of questions and unfortunately a few times were off-camera. They don’t have much luck finding the kind of crutches she’s looking for but they did find some very old antique crutches. Finally Joe Joe gets Nicole back into the truck and they just decide to let her leg stick out of the window on the way home.

Betty’s Faux Med DLLC

Betty has broken both of her lower legs with fractured tibias, fibulas and shattered ankles. We find her on one of her first days in her wheelchair trying to get to the couch where she can get more comfortable. Obviously her legs cannot bear weight and they are too painful to move by themselves. She must move them with her arms. She wheels herself to the couch where she does the slow, painful process of traansferring herself to the couch. She carefully elevates her legs and calls a friend to catch her up on things. Later, she’s thirsty and needs to use the restroom, so she transfers herself back to the chair and makes her way to the kitchen and bathroom. After that, she gets herself set back up on the couch. Cut to a week later and she can move her legs a bit easier but she’s still in a lot of pain and of course there’s still no weight bearing. We find her in bed, pulling back the covers to reveal her casts. She carefully puts on some clothes and gets herself into the wheelchair. She wheels herself into the kitchen to do her morning routine. She puts her breakfast items in a basket she can sit in her lap and wheel to her kitchen table. Her toes are cold so she pulls some socks over them. Later, she rolls herself to the couch, takes off her outfit, props her legs up and gets ready for bed. The next day we find her sitting in a chair talking on the phone with a friend. Her doctor has approved some weight bearing on her legs but only a few steps at a time for now. She practices walking on crutches a bit before settling back onto the couch. There’s a knowck at the door and it’s a delivery person with a package. She gets herself into her wheelchair and to the door as quickly as possible and explains to the person what happened. When she opens the package, it’s the new shoes she ordered. She won’t be able to enjoy them for some time.

This is an idea I’ve had for a while now. What if I was on a shoot with a model when we found a woman in a real LLC and convinced her to join the shoot? That’s exactly what happens in this clip. Lily and I are at Target with her in two blue arm casts, just browsing around, when she spots someone about her age in a pink LLC. She asks me if she thinks we should talk to her and I say yes. She’s mad that Anastasia is going to leave her alone for that long so she decides to head to the kitchen herself. She’s very clumsy and keeps stumbling and putting weight on her leg, which hurts. She continues causing herself more pain as she desperately and clumsily searches for a snack in the kitchen. She spills her entire makeup bag on the floor and she gets on the floor in tears to pick it up. She totally crashes out and crawls/scoots her way back into the living room in total distress. She falls asleep there and wakes up to Anastasia coming in. She cries to Anastasia about what she’s been through and Anastasia is very sympathetic. She leans down to help Holly up and spills her drink on Holly’s already dirty cast. Anastasia gets Holly onto the couch and asks her what she needs. Holly says that she could help get her more comfortable. Anastasia lifts Holly’s leg to swing it around and gets distracted and drops it onto the floor causing Holly to scream and cry. They decide that maybe it would be nice if Anastasia signed Holly’s cast so she does but Anastasia writes something that makes Holly very upset. Things only get worse from there until Holly eventually kicks Anastasia out.

She actually been kind of obsessed with the idea of getting guys to put their phone number on her cast since her first cast shoot. This shoot happed just a few hours ago TODAY (the 15th) and I was able to rush home and get it ready for an update. Jessie’s a hot new model with great legs and feet that showed up in daisy dukes. The idea for the shoot just popped into my head. I asked her to pretend that she’s just a regular model doing an outdoor shoot but she just so happens to have broken her leg about a week ago. This may be the last Gabby shoot I get to do because she moved away. Hopefully she will come back around to visit and we’ll be able to shoot more. Luckily, her last shoot is also her best. Here’s the story: Gabby is meeting a blind date at the park but she hasn’t told him about her cast yet because she broke her leg after they made plans to meet up. When he shows up, she explains that some jerk at the gym let a barbell drop on her leg, breaking her tibia and fibula. She gives him an out but he has no problem with it. Next they’re at the very busy zoo with Drew pushing her around in a wheelchair with her LLC up on the leg rest. They’re clearly attracted to each other as the flirting begins right off the bat and they have great chemistry together. Gabby feels bad that he has to push her all around the zoo, but Drew feels privileged to be pushing around such an attractive date. Gabby sometimes gets up to crutch a little but mostly lets Drew push her in the chair. Gabby’s leg is freshly broken so it is painful, hot and itchy but her date mostly keeps her mind off of it. She calls him on the phone only to find out that he’s in a traffic jam two hours away and so she will either have to wait for him to arrive or call someone else over to help her get to the restroom. She reminds him that they just recently moved to the area so there’s no one she can call. He suggests that she will either have to hold it or try and get to the bathroom on her own. First she does try to hold it, wondering if perhaps there’s a position that would make her more comfortable and able to wait longer but it’s not long before she decides to put her cast shoes on and move herself into the wheelchair. It’s hard moving her sore legs out of bed and into the wheelchair but she eventually makes it to the restroom and decides to try and get something to eat and drink while she’s at it. In the kitchen she very slowly and painfully gets up on crutches and gets herself to the counter where she takes careful steps while holding herself up with the countertop. It’s a painful process but she manages to get a snack. She then wheels back into the bedroom and back into bed where she calls her boyfriend to complain. It turns out that the traffic cleared up and he will be home in a few minutes. Cut to many weeks in the future and Jessica’s casts are dirty and covered in signatures. She’s up walking around on her casts with comfort and ease cleaning and talking on the phone and taking some breaks to put her feet up and wiggle her toes.

Classic Betty Double Feature: LLC & Pink Combo (2012)

I‘ve got a great new Betty clip coming up soon, but did you know that the blonde Betty from the past few years is the same Betty from 2012 with red hair and a pinup look? I thought it would be fun to post this old footage before her new clip. I have taken the original footage from two shoots back in 2012 and combined them into one double feature. In the first clip Betty is crutching around the park in a red LLC. The camera work is not good, but there’s at least some nice toe wiggling shots where Betty takes a rest to pull her socks off and wiggle her toes. In the second clip, Betty’s in full domestic pinup mode with a pink LAC and LLWC with my old walking heel bar. She’s wearing an apron and tidying up in the kitchen. Then she does some laudry and props her leg up to fold clothes. It’s hard to believe that today’s Betty that can talk through a whole video is the same girl in these videos who doesn’t say anything. Previously, Emily and Octavia had decided to go to the zoo after meeting up at the park and putting some signatures on her cast. Octavia pushes Emily around in a wheelchair and even picks her up to move her to photo ops. This clip begins after Octavia helped Emily with using the restroom and Emily is ready to stretch again. Octavia reluctantly agrees. They come to an orangutan statue and Emily wants her picture with it, so she asks Octavia to pick her up and put her in the ape’s arms, but while Octavia is sitting her down, her cast swings and hits the statue, causing her broken leg more pain. After some more looking around, they’re ready for a snack so they order some food at the food court and Octavia gets Emily into a chair with her cast propped up on another chair and cuts her sandwich up more to make it easier to eat with one hand. After a while, Emily is getting restless and her butt is sore so she wants to get up and crutch around, but she struggles to crutch with one arm in a cast and soon she’s ready to sit again. Emily and Octavia are getting tired so they start heading towards the exit when Emily’s leg falls to the ground, causing her to cry from the pain. They finally make it back to the car when Emily leans forward and falls out of her wheelchair onto the ground. Emily is crying from her painful leg and Octavia has to pick her up from the ground and get her into the back seat.

Alice’s LLC

Welcome our cute new model Alice. So this was a quick shoot at the park just to meet the model and see how she does with the cast and a little light acting. She’s only modeled once before and has never acted. In this clip, she’s recently broken her leg and is meeting you at the park to practice crutching and get some exercise. She’s never been on crutches before and to make matters worse, I forgot to adjust her crutches until over halfway through the shoot (I was distracted because I dropped and broke a camera). And it shows as she has a pretty hard time with crutching. Alice occasionally references her painful broken leg and how hard it is to crutch. When we reach the pavilion, she takes a five minute break and looks at her phone while the camera sits by her feet and films her wiggling toes. She crutches up a big hill and a bit more before calling it a day. Her acting maybe isn’t quite there yet, but she’s a great stills model as you’ll see in the pics.

Here we have a sponsored shoot that is a pretty simple story but exciting nonetheless. It’s a cold wet day about a week ago and Jessica Lynn is out for a jog. I‘ve been sitting on this footage since around Christmas, mainly because there’s so much footage, but here it is: This clip begins with Emily and her friend Octavia at the park putting some signatures on Emily’s casts. Emily is grateful to Octavia for getting her out to do something. They decide that the local zoo might be a fun so they head that way. When they get to the zoo, Octavia gets Emily set up in the wheelchair with her legs propped up and a blanket on her lap. Emily is very needy right off the bat and tells Octavia to be more careful going over bumps and asks her to hold her leg up. Emily sometimes gets up to crutch closer to things she’s looking at but it’s hard with her arm cast. As they go along, Emily is constantly telling anecdotes about her cast experiences. When they get to the stingrays, Octavia picks Emily up and carries her over to them so Emily can touch them. But Emily loves the attention and the special treatment she gets from people in public (and it comes naturally to her). She takes advantage of every photo opportunity and has Octavia help her pose. At the reptile exhibit, Emily says she needs to stand up for a while and then she has Octavia help her stretch by holding her cast in various positions. Emily continues being very needy and even has Octavia help her wipe after using the restroom.

Phaedra’s 90° Public Black LLC

First thing she does is go down an isle and try to use her crutches to get a bag of chips from the top shelf while hopping on one leg. Then she crutches over to the frozen food section where she tries to get something, fails and then complains that the guy next to her didn’t offer to help her. But then he does offer to help get it for her, while I just stand there. She then sets off looking for some sympathy and attention and find some people by the dairy cooler to talk to. She brings up her cast but the people don’t really engage. After that she crutches around and dances a little on one foot and tries to pick up more things with her crutches. In the housewares, she looks for a fly swatter or kitchen utensil to itch inside her cast with, but doesn’t find anything and so it’s off to try and find more sympathetc people. She tries to strike up a conversation with a couple more people but strikes out. Finally she gets a guy to talk to her about candy but he quickly walks away. While I was out getting the car, she had a funny interraction with a man that she tells me about on camera. Lastly we finish up with her trying to do some yoga and showing some impressive flexibility and she gives some thoughts on the shoot. Phaedra is fun and her laugh is hysterical.

In this clip, we’re shooting candid style with Katrina just walking around and speaking candidly about what she thinks. Right off the bat, she finds the cast heavy and walking on it harder than using crutches so I get some crutches for her. We’re both hungry so we’re going around the city looking for a place to eat. Katrina finds crutching with her big straight cast tiring so she takes advantage of every opportunity to prop her leg up or sit down. While she takes a break and wiggles her toes, she tries to brainstorm ideas for future shoots. Back at the park, she talks about how she feels about crutching vs walking on her LLWC. Crutching seems exhausting and hard on her wrists but she still prefers it. She tries walking a few times but it only lasts for a minute or two and she’s back to crutching. She crutches to different locations at the park for picture posing and is pretty worn out by the end of it but she stays fun the whole time.

It’s been a while since I posted part one. I actually forgot that I had this until just the other day. After Phaedra crutched around the park, she crutched over to a busy area in the city with a market. She loves interacting with people and starts up a chat with almost every one she passes by. She goes into the market and does a lap, stopping to talk to vendors and customers about food. When she gets to the donut shop, she asks the guy to guess from three options how she broke her leg, which turns out to be pretty funny. After that, she heads outside where there’s lots of people sitting at tables. She sits down at a table across from a guy who doesn’t say anything but Phaedra props her leg up talks about what it’s been like out crutching so far. After that, she gets up and crutches over to someone a bit more social and strikes up a conversation. She tells him that I’m her crutch coach and she’s out trying to get better on crutches. She stands there and talks about her cast with him for several minutes. After that, it’s time to head back to the park but not before stopping at another table to make some people laugh with a couple of cast comments. Back at the park, Phaedra does some more crutching and hops up some stairs and then I set up the camera on a tripod and ask Phaedrea to wiggle her toes and talk about her cast experience while I go and grab the cast saw and stuff.

Emily’s Ruined Wedding LLC

Emily’s crutching up a big hill at the park in a pastel print LLC. She has a seat at the shelter and calls a friend to tell her how excited she is to be getting married but she broke her leg doing a challenge for her fiancé a couple weeks ago. She’s not happy about her leg cast and how it looks but she’s optimistic that people will be kind to her and her dress will cover her cast. Now it’s the wedding day. We find Emily in a wedding dress at the venue talking to someone on the phone and crying about her ruined wedding. She caught her fiancé making out with the maid of honor (her best friend). The person on the phone can’t give her a ride so she gets an Uber. She has five minutes until it arrives so she crutches over to take one last look at the venue. She feels that her cast ruined everything. Once she reaches the center of the dance floor, she gets a phone call from her ex-fiancé and Emily unloads. She hangs up angrily and immediately slips and falls to the ground. She sits there and cries and vents to herself. She’s still there crying when she gets a notification that her Uber has arrived but she’s far from the pickup spot. She hurts herself trying to get up and tries to call him but it doesn’t work. She sets off crutching with her painful leg through sprinklers getting her cast and dress wet. In the next scene, you’re another Uber driver picking Emily up and she gets in and puts her cast on the dashboard. She likes you and asks you for your number and thanks you for making her day better.

This clip starts off with Lily and Henry hanging out at the coffee shop and Lily just talking about various things, including her sweaty cast and feet. She puts her legs up on Henry’s lap and takes off her socks, wiggling them and having Henry massage her. After that Lily and Henry find a swing where she can swing with her cast up on Henry’s lap. Then she wants Henry to push her so she can see how high she can go. She swings towards the camera trying to touch my lens with her toes. She crutches back to the car so they can drive to a store to get the sweatpants that she likes. After checking out, she crutches around outside asking Henry to take pictures of her at some photo ops. Then it’s time to go shopping in the mall and Lily crutches all around the mall then heads upstairs. She orders some food and sits at a booth to eat. While she eats and chats, the camera gets some great angles of her wiggling toes up on the table. She talks about a particular guy who seemed very interested in her cast. Lily then crutches down a large staircase with Henry spotting her. She’s tired and seriously considers making Henry carry her all the way out of the mall and back to the car, but Henry has a sore neck so she crutches back to the car. Henry gets her back in the car and on the drive home she’s really sore and whiney and blames Henry for making her be so active today. Back at the house, Lily has Henry hold her leg up for her and rub her toes before finally helping her up the stairs.

Juli’s Pink Public LLWC and LAC

This is the sequel to “Juli’s Pink SLC Shower Arm Break” from back in May. In the previous clip, Juli started off taking a bath but then stood on her covered SLC to rinse off with a shower. She slipped and broke her arm and hobbled off on one crutch. Now we find her weeks into her next set of casts, an LLWC and LAC. She’s sitting on the couch with her LLWC propped up talking to a friend about how she wants to get out of the house and how she’s been afraid to take a shower. Juli starts getting ready by brushing her hair, putting on some makeup and washing with a cloth. After that, she changes her clothes and puts a shoe and sock on which is a little harder than it used to be. Finally, she’s ready and her friend (you) has come to take her shopping. At the store, she’s looking for some more accommodating clothes to wear over her cast. She finds several things that would make life easier but her leg is starting to hurt from all the walking around. She’s starting to feel like she over-did it and is ready to head back home. When you get to the car she asks you to hold her cast up for a while, which you do. Back at home, her leg is throbbing so she painfully makes her way to the bedroom, takes off her shorts and props her leg up in bed. For the remainder of the video, we watch as Juli tries to get comfortable with her sore leg.
