 In one of her best performances yet, Emily is calling her friend Jen to talk about her relationship issues. Emily had felt like something was wrong in her relationship for a while now and at a psychic fair a psychic told her that her boyfriend was cheating on her. So, she went snooping through his computer and what she found was not cheating but his cast fetish. Her friend suggests that maybe she could save her relationship by breaking her leg. Emily says that she really loves him so if that’s what it takes, she will do it. Emily recalls a time from years ago when she jumped from a table at a frat party in heels. She says that if some nearby guys hadn’t caught her, she would have surely broken her leg. She gets up on the kitchen counter in heels. Cut to Emily on the floor screaming. Crying and moaning, she pulls herself across the floor to her phone to call for help. After that, she pulls herself up onto the couch, only to realize that she hasn’t unlocked the front door for the paramedics. Emily eventually gets it unlocked and then waits on the floor, telling herself that it will be worth it because she’s getting a cast. Three days later, Emily comes home in an LLC. She moans and groans and starts to second guess breaking her leg. She gets her leg propped up and it starts itching. Then she goes into a completely ad-libbed monologue about her leg injury and treatment at the hospital for three days. Dizzy from the pain and thirsty from meds, Emily carefully crutches to the kitchen. She continues talking to herself about her predicament with her leg propped up on the counter, as she wiggles her toes and has a drink and a snack. After some more pain and tears, Emily finally gets settled back onto the couch and talks to her friend for the first time since breaking her leg.
