Roxy’s in bed asleep in her DHS with spreader bar, a diaper over her crotch and toe spacers. We see her cast from all angles as she rests. On another day, we see Roxy wearing her neck brace slowly waking up in bed. We look at her cast from all angles as she tries to orient herself and move around with what little can be done due to the huge cast. She tries to wiggle her toes, but it is painful. Her phone rings and after she finds it, she answers and it’s her friend that was in the accident with her. Her friend was wearing her seatbelt and in the back seat so her injuries are minor compared to hers. Tbey talk for a little bit but Roxy sounds depressed and bitter and doesn’t stay on the phone very long. Two weeks later Roxy is resting propped up on her side and has lost the neck collar but still has the toe apacers. The phone rings and it’s the doctor’s office with some good news about her cast. They spoke with teh orthopedic surgeon and they feel that they can lessen the cast down to a DLLC with toe apacers. She is very happy about this and it’s going to happen tomorrow. She calls her friend that was in the accident to share the exciting news. The next day we find Roxy in bed with just two LLCs and toe spacers. She wakes up and moves her legs around. She reaches for a drink but there’s nothing. She calls for James to bring her a drink but he’s not there. She decides that she will have to use her newfound mobility to go get herself something to drink. She struggles into the wheelchair, which we see from her POV and wheels herself to the steps where she carefully gets out and painfully goes down the steps. She scoots to the kitchen and gets herself something to drink and then makes her way back up the steps. She can’t manage to get herself back in the wheelchair when she reaches the top so she scoots to the bedroom and struggles to get back in bed. The next time we see Roxy, she’s back in a big DHS with spreader bar in bed trying to get comfortable. Her friend from the accident calls wanting to know if she can hang out this weekend now that she’s in smaller casts. She tells her friend that she can’t because she didn’t listen to the doctor’s orders about being careful about how she moves and that she could do more damage to the hairline fractures in her pelvis. So now she’s back in the big cast and if she isn’t careful about how she moves, the doctors will have to try restraints or arm casts to decrease her movement. After the call, Roxy reaches for a drink but there’s nothing there, so she starts trying to get up again.
