 Jessica Lynn is in bed, dealing with her hip pain when she gets a call from the doctor saying that she will need surgery for her hip dysplasia. Jessica says she will do anything to avoid surgery and they tell her the only other option would be long leg casts with a bar between them. She is shocked and pleads with them to give her some other option like physical therapy, but she let it go too long and it’s too severe to treat any other way. They text her a picture showing her hips and then the correct (green) position for her hips. She reluctantly agrees to do the cast. Cut to later and Jessica is waking up painfully in bed. She has to use the restroom, so she very carefully and with great pain, she makes her way out of bed and down the steps. Once she reaches the bottom, she realizes that she forgot her phone, which she needs in case of an emergency. She heads back up the steps to the bedroom and then back down again. Next, we see Jessica in her wheelchair struggling to get around. She’s trying to be positive and cheer herself up when she gets a text from her doctor. He says the fixation is good but the cast will need to be on for four months. She doesn’t take this very well. In the meantime, she calls a friend looking for some sympathy and some company, venting and explaining everything. Cut to around three months later and she’s feeling great and up bopping around on her cast. You’ve come to check on her and she invites you to come in and have a seat while she does her daily stretches, which turns out to be quite a show as she’s clearly flirting with you! |
